The baby girl who was delivered after a fatal car crash in Dallas killed her mother has died.
Baby Ashlynn Leona Womack was on life support at?Methodist Charlton Medical Center?since the Aug. 5 ?accident.?
ShaChela Womack, 35, of Arlington, died hours after a car accident in the Mountain Creek area of Dallas. A family friend said Womack was returning from a baby shower. She was nine months pregnant. Her 15-year-old son was driving their minivan and her 5-year-old daughter in the van suffered from injuries that were not life-threatening.
Doctors managed to save baby Ashlynn and put her on life support. Family visited and prayed for her recovery but her brain activity was low and the infant was unresponsive.
ShaChela Womack had just married her husband, Ricky Womack Jr. on June 30. The father and husband had been out of town for his grandmother?s funeral the day of the accident.
